It started on a beach in southern Spain. The sun was shining, but all around me, the land was parched. Rivers had run dry, droughts were destroying crops, and the contrast between the unfolding climate crisis and my relaxed holiday mood hit me like a punch to the gut.
In the weeks that followed, I couldn’t shake the questions: How did we let it get this far? What was my role? And what could I do?
I went through the full emotional spectrum—grief, shame, despair, confusion—but also a growing sense of urgency. I began reading, learning, talking, and reflecting. I looked at the tensions in my own life: working in a system driven by growth, while longing to live in alignment with my values. I asked difficult questions, challenged old assumptions, and slowly began to transform.
Well, I didn’t find all the answers, but I found direction. I started living more intentionally, rooted in hope, resilience, and connection. I discovered that I wasn’t alone—that many of us are on this path, navigating a changing world while longing to contribute meaningfully.
That’s what inspired Regeneration for Changemakers: a training and coaching program for people like you – working in sustainability, climate and ecological fields – who feel the weight of the crisis but also carry a deep desire to act from a place of clarity, purpose and strength. This work is about supporting you to stay grounded, connected and creatively alive as you make your contribution to a better future.
